Descripción
Este curso provee una revisión de los aspectos específicos al estudio de la economía de los países de bajos y medianos ingresos. Revisaremos qué está detrás de las grandes historias de éxito, como el rápido crecimiento económico de Singapor, así como de las tragedias de desarrollo económico. Analizaremos la estructura de los países en desarrollo, sus instituciones, y las políticas que siguen sus gobiernos para incentivar el desarrollo económico.
